The Flavour Merchants established the Hawthorn Brewing Company in 2008 to provide world class Australian Craft Beer. Having lived abroad for many years, the boys at Hawthorn Brewing tasted first hand the myriad of excellent beers available and the diversity that exists throughout the world. The range of flavours and styles experienced first hand inspired the boys to return home and, drawing on this knowledge, take their long and colourful home brew skills to the next level.
The results are the award wining beers that make up our range.
All recipes for our beers are created and tested (yep, testing is the "hard" part of the job) in our ‘Hawthorn Brew Shed’ then methodically upscaled to commercial quantities with our Victorian brewing partners. Plans are underway for our own local based brew pub so watch this space.
